The Parts Expeditor is responsible for quickly identifying, sourcing, and billing automotive parts for technicians based on service requests. The role requires a solid understanding of automotive parts, high attention to detail, and proficiency in using tools like Snap-on and CDK to ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Look up and identify vehicle parts using Snap-on and Dealerbuilt software.
- Communicate effectively with technicians and service advisors to ensure accurate parts selection and delivery.
- Process and bill parts for services based on technician needs and work orders.
- Organize and maintain inventory of automotive parts.
- Provide exceptional customer service by promptly supplying technicians with the necessary parts.
- Ensure accurate part numbers, pricing, and documentation for billing.
- Manage part handoffs to technicians and resolve any discrepancies related to parts.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive parts sales or related field.
- Proficiency in Snap-on or similar automotive parts lookup systems.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts, including filters, components, and tools.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to work with service advisors and technicians.
- Basic proficiency in Excel or other spreadsheet tools is a plus.
- Organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
